Halloween 2011

We took our girls to the mall for Halloween. It was perfect because it was a well-lit, good atmosphere for Ada's first real time trick-or-treating! Plus we could get dinner at Hot Dog on a Stick :)
Ada was Princess Tiana from The Princess and the Frog, and Lola was a little ducky.
Her little crown/headband was pushing her ears forward...I thought it was so cute!
The most important people in my life. What a good Papa he is!
The squishiest duck you've ever seen :)
After the tick-o-teeting! A scary Halloween movie with floating ghosts, creepy eyes, and tired babes.

Halloween!

Ada's first Halloween was a fun one! We went to a pumpkin patch right on Highway 1 to get our pumpkin. It is absolutely gorgeous!
Ada discovering pumpkins, she would say, "Puh-puh-puh."
Looking out over the pumpkins to the Pacific!
This picture cracks me up, Ada looks like she weighs 300 lbs. and I'm trying to lug her around!
Momma and her little flower

We carved our pumpkin to match Ada's 3 teeth in the same places :)
Matt had to work the night of our ward's trunk-or-treat, so Ada and I went together anyway. There were some great costumes!
We have such an awesome ward, they were so sweet and helped out with Ada so I could eat and let me hang out at their trunks. Made me feel good :)
(I was a gardener with the flower I grew...took some explaining since I kinda look like a cowgirl)
When I was leaving the house, I ran into my neighbor and we talked for a while. She said multiple times how pretty I looked, and I thought, "Hmm...I'm wearing one of Matt's shirts and braided my hair, nothing special!" Then I realized that every time she sees me, I don't have make-up on! HA! I'm always coming home from running, the pool, or getting the mail and I don't have make-up on. I thought that was funny :)
Ada finally fits into the shoes Sean got her for Christmas, they look so cute on her!
On Sunday evening, we went over to the Kruger's house and hung out with a bunch of families from the ward. It was so nice to get to know some more of the women who are in Primary & Young Women that I don't see in Relief Society. It is so nice to talk with others who have been in your position and can give you encouragement! Thanks ladies!

Our Halloween

We were total party poopers this Halloween! I can hear the collective gasp right now.
I feel like we are at the weird in between stage of Halloween. As youth, there are always great dances and parties to go to. As young adults, the infamous Santa Barbara dance/haunted house. Newlyweds without kids...nothing. None of our friends were throwing parties, and the trunk-or-treat seemed weird since we don't have kids to dress up in cute costumes.
So...on a date to Santa Barbara we went!

One of our favorite restaurants, Pascucci, was pretty empty! And how many nights of the year can {I Dream of} Jeannie be your server?

Empty restaurant = fun photo shoot time w/Matt & Kara

This is me angry at the camera because it slipped out of my hands and took a picture without my permission.

The lovely Jeannie offered to take our picture when she saw us laughing at the ridiculous pictures we were taking. Thanks Jeannie!

Matty enjoying his pannini :)

Also, Nordstrom was EMPTY! We made a mental note to always go shopping on Halloween! We had the place to ourselves...HEAVEN and a happy girl with a new pair of shoes :)

We had fun watching the freak show on State St. I loved watching people check us out...like, "What are you guys supposed to be?" It was funny :)
