Life Recently

I have come to realize that the mom is always the last one to bed.
Dad changes the last diaper, falls asleep
Doggie puts herself to bed
Mom feeds baby, baby falls asleep...
Mom brushes teeth and washes face
listening to the sleepy snoring sounds of those she loves
& sometimes sneaks pictures of them because they are so precious.
...
Daddy & Ada sleeping
Long toes like her Mommy
Sweet little face
Peaceful sleeping babe
I love being a mother. Ada has started smiling at people and it just melts my heart!
I cried the other day when she looked up at me and smiled while chattering away...
she's always got a story to tell with her grunts and coos.
Ada is 8 weeks old and weighs 14 lbs. The girl LOVES to eat!
She's still sleeping through the night and I love her for it :)

Big Girl Bath!

This was Ada's first time having a bath in the little tub. She loved it and especially likes when we rinse the shampoo out of her hair.
No more sponge baths here!
...
Trusting eyes looking up at Daddy
Gotta be decent for the internets and cover up!
Complete trust & adoration!
Pulling a funny face for the camera :)
We love this little girl so much!

Ada's Blessing

Ada was blessed on her one-month birthday, January 3rd.
Her Daddy gave her a beautiful blessing of strength and love.

Christmas 2009!

Matt and I both agree that this was our best Christmas since being married.
Maybe it has to do with the best little present...Miss Ada Lizzie?
Or maybe the fact that we are old pros by now and did amazing at dividing our time between families this year!
Really though, we are incredible and have it down to a science. ;)
...
Here's the whole gang at the Millers!
All four children, spouses/fiancees, and grandkids!
Little family of three :)
After Marc & Diana's, we headed over to Marsha's and got to see the fabulous Thompson fam along with Matt's aunts, uncles, & cousins!
Here is a video I took of the boys playing...Gavin is such a doll.
And I just love Will being the typical big brother, I can totally relate!
From there we came back up to Santa Maria and went to Nana & Bobba's.
...
Things to note about this picture:
1. It looks like I have been hitting the eggnog hard
2. Aunt Liz trying to hide her bunny pajamas
3. Lindsay creepin' behind the chair
4. Becca & my mom are floating heads
5. Nana's bliss face while holding her great-granddaughter :)
After that, we came home.
& Ada modeled one of her gifts for us :)
Nana had this picture in her pocket while they worked at the temple and showed everyone.
It was adorable :)
