Houston Trip!

Lindsay, Ada & I flew out to Houston last weekend for our cousin's wedding!
Matthew married KayLa Williams, and they are such a cute couple. The sealing was lovely & the Houston Temple is beautiful!
I loved that the sealer told them to put 100% of themselves in. A marriage is not 50/50. It's 100/100! And also to always focus on the other person more than yourself. Wonderful advice!
After exiting the Temple & after cutting the cake at the reception
Uncle Dana finally winning Ada over with cupcakes. I love this picture so much!
She can be won easily with food :)
Ada loved dancing at the reception!
I think she really thought she was line dancing.
Between the Sealing & Reception, Ada didn't get a nap in.
She crashed on the car ride back to the hotel, stayed asleep in my arms up to the room, while I undressed her, and fell back on the bed like this. We were cracking up!
Long, fun day for a baby girl!

We stayed with my dad & Pam the other days.
On our way to some delicious Texas BBQ one night, Ada busted out with the best voice ever.
It was SO hot & humid, so I thought it would be good to go to the Children's Museum one day.
It was gloriously air conditioned!
Ada absolutely loved it! Nannie & her had a blast playing together.

Best idea I've ever had :) This is her on the ride back home.
Ada wasn't so sure about Captain Walt's trombone...

She was so excited to see her Papa again after almost a week apart!

8 1/2 Months Pregnant

How far along? 34 weeks
Total weight gain: 35 lbs!
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: Is interrupted by 1-2 potty breaks a night. Surrounded by lots of pillows and nothing on top of me...I'm an Easy Bake Oven.
Best moment this week: Being in the Houston Temple for my cousin's Sealing to his sweet new wife. Lola was bouncing around like crazy during it and it was such a special moment.
Movement: Is strong & constant! She's doing exactly what Ada did and pushing on my ribs on the right side with her feet. I am so sore by the end of the day! It's a crazy feeling to be punched and kicked from the inside. I do love that she moves so much though, because it gives me piece of mind knowing that she is healthy and strong.
Food cravings: I've been eating a ton of watermelon. No serious cravings so far, just hungry all the time! So...food, period.
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: Just Braxton Hicks contractions.
Belly Button in or out? In still I think? Stretched out and silly is what it is.
What I miss: Running.
What I am looking forward to: Having an ultrasound in 2 1/2 weeks!
Weekly Wisdom: Heat + flying + 8 mos. pregnant = cankles the size of Texas!
Milestones: 20 days until she is considered full term, and 41 days until my due date!

Sunday Pictures

Last Sunday, I wanted to take some pictures before we all kicked off our church shoes and took a nap.
We usually do that pretty quickly after we get home :)
Ada giving me a flower
I don't know where it went!
 Sweet little lips
Little helper giving me the lens cap
 Papa & Ada
 Pure joy!
Happy with the same face :)

Ni-night

The other morning, I was in the kitchen while Ada was in the living room. I could hear her saying, "Ni-ni!" but it was too early for her nap. I snuck over to see what she was doing and this is what I found:
She was putting her dolls to bed. Pulled down the cushion and blanket to make a bed for one, I don't know why the other one has to sleep face down on the tile!
I love the sweet kisses she gives. Can't wait to see her with her little sister!

7 1/2 Months Pregnant

Matt was kind enough to tell me that this is one of my usual faces. I apologized and said I will try to smile more :)
How far along? 30 weeks
Total weight gain: 26 lbs!
Stretch marks? Nope
Sleep: I've been napping when Ada naps a lot more. It means I don't shower, do the dishes, or clean like I usually do during her naps...but I'm growing a human. It's exhausting!
Best moment this week: Putting Mr. Potato Head under Ada's shirt and her swaying back and forth saying, "Baby, baby!"
Movement: Is constant! She's keeps me up at night with it. I didn't think I could have a baby that moved more than Ada did, but Lola does! She does a shimmy and shake, pushes on Ada's back when she's encroaching on her space on my lap, kicks books and laptops off my belly, and tries to kick the Doppler off at the doctor's office. Hopefully the two of them will wear each other out :)
Food cravings: Had a random Frosted Flakes craving a few weeks back. Haven't eaten those since I was a kid! Otherwise, nothing too specific...just food. I feel like I am ALWAYS hungry!
Gender: Girl!
Labor Signs: Just Braxton Hicks contractions. While leading music in Relief Society. A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief will do that to ya. Not fun! haha
Belly Button in or out? In.
What I miss: Getting out of bed normally...it's a careful-roll-over-slowly thing now.
What I am looking forward to: Seeing Lola on the big screen again. I love ultrasounds!
Weekly Wisdom: Sit down while you put on your pants. Your pelvis will thank you later.
Milestones: Passed my glucose test! And my doctor says I'm a perfect candidate for a VBAC. We will have an ultrasound between 34-36 weeks to see how big Lola will be and go from there!

Baby is now the size of a squash!
Baby's energy is surging, thanks to white fat depositing beneath her skin. And since she's growing so fast (weight will triple by birth), things are getting kind of cramped in the womb. What all this means for you: Get ready for some more kicks and jabs to the ribs.

Pigtails

I don't know why I haven't put Ada's hair in pigtails before this! She's had enough hair for quite some time now.
She sure loves 'em. She must know how cute she looks.
I think they make her look so grown up!
You have to be very careful what you say around here...if you say the word outside you better mean it!

I love her little half-hearted wave at the end, like she can't be bothered with such nonsense when there are stairs to go down and parks to go to!

Grammy Visits!

My mom came up to visit during her spring break! It was so much fun having her here, and I cried when she left.
I miss living near her so much, but we are lucky to still live in the same state.
Grammy gave Ada a fun bucket of beach toys, so we walked down to Cowells Beach to try them out.
I think Matt may have had more fun with the toys building sandcastles and what not :)
(Ada saw the bucket on the back patio the other day and said, "Oh wooooowwww!")
We went to San Francisco one day and visited Muir Woods. It is gorgeous! We weren't prepared for how cold and wet it would be, but still had a wonderful time.
Ada & Matt shared a first together, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge!
Going through a rainbow tunnel (?!)
Ada & Grammy getting ready to check out the redwoods
Getting her to hold still for a picture is pretty much impossible...
She just wants to RUN!
She loves climbing & exploring outside..."SIDE!" as she says :)
After Muir Woods we went to Ghirardelli Square and got hot fudge sundaes. Heaven in a spoon!
Then we went to Union Square and shopped, I got some awesome deals on maternity shirts at Old Navy. I never have luck with their jeans though, and maternity are no exception. They have a huge pooch in the crotch area that is oh-so-unflattering. I just ended up ordering another pair of the Motherhood Maternity ones I have in a longer cut since mine are high-waters. I digress!
...
We went to Los Gatos & San Jose another day. Here is Ada entertaining herself on the way to the mall. She loves seeing herself on screen & making ridiculous faces & noises. She's getting over a cold, so she had the funniest raspy voice!
We ate at P.F. Chang's and Ada was being a little drummer girl with the chopsticks.
She even has the drummer face like her Poppa!
We had Ada's first Easter egg hunt after church and nap time. She is so worried by the eggs at first, then realizes they aren't so bad after all :)
We miss you Grammy...thank you for coming to visit us & all of the fun!
